David Ortega Del Campo

Research Professor at the

Degree in Video Game Design and Development (GDDV)

Since the beginning of my working career, my work has revolved around computer vision and image processing.

After finishing my studies in Computer Engineering, I worked for more than ten years as a developer and researcher in the R&D department of IPSA, a company dedicated to mass document processing and OCR.
After completing the Master in Computer Vision at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid and starting my doctorate, my work focused more on the field of hygrometry and facial recognition.

Already in the university I have participated in several projects, at a European level such as ABC4EU (Automatic Border Control for Europe) and in collaboration projects with the DGP (General Police Directorate) in the assessment and evaluation of ABC systems for border control.

Currently I am working as a visiting professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University and I teach subjects in the Degree in Video Game Design and Development, related to the treatment of images such as 3D Animation and 2D Design among others and Instrumentation for Vision in the Master of Computer Vision .
