SRec is simple to install. You just have to perform the following steps:

1. Download the ZIP file.
2. Uncompress the ZIP file.
3. If you want to have SRec included in the Start menu of Windows, execute the MSI set-up file.
4. Run the interactive assistant. It is made available as a JAR file. (Note that the first time you run SRec, you will be prompted to select a file “java.exe” from a JDK, not a JRE.)
